Having just wrapped up 2014, a year which had seen the band play in festivals and showcases all over Ontario including Big Music Fest, Kitchener’s Rock N’ Rumble, CMW, Indie Week, and opening for Canadian rockers One Bad Son, Die Mannequin, and James Black of Finger Eleven, Last Bullet are fired up and dying to see what the this year has in store them.
In the first week of 2015 alone, TSN chose to use the Last Bullet track “State of Confusion” for the opening intro to the World Junior Championship gold medal game between Canada and Russia, broadcasting Last Bullet’s music to every home across Canada from coast to coast. The national television coverage was a huge accomplishment for the band, and as a group of musicians born and raised in Canada, it was a complete honour for them to be a part of Canadian hockey history.
Among other accomplishments in their 6 year history, Last Bullet also embarked on a 26 show tour across Canada. From the mountains of Whistler to the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal and everywhere in between, they’ve worked hard to promote their sophomore album “Love. Lust. Illusion.”.
With their latest single “Runnin’ Out of Time” receiving full rotation on Grand Prairie’s Rock 97.7, and garnering spins on multiple radio stations across North America, the band was inspired to venture unexplored territory and direct their own music video for the very first time.
“We’ve had to learn how to do many things on our own in this industry, and directing is something I’ve always wanted to do. This video is gritty, dark, intense and a prime example of what a band can accomplish when they truly put their mind, passion and dedication into something.” - Bryan Fontez, Frontman
“Runnin’ Out of Time” was directed and edited by Fontez, and was filmed by good friend Jon Lajoie, who also directed the band’s debut video for the track “Forget the Rest”, which was featured on the Russian national television station NIKATV.
The band’s debut, self-titled “Last Bullet EP”, also found commercial radio success in 2010, when the track “Girl’s Gone Wild” landed full rotation on Edmonton’s 100.3 The Bear, leading to spins on additional FM stations across the rest of Canada and on countless internet stations across North America, Europe, Australia and the UK.
“The Rock n Roll landscape is evolving, and it’s a very exciting time to be a part of a more underground scene. These changes are freeing to a band like ours because it gives us more confidence to venture outside of the box.” - Brenden Armstrong, Lead Guitarist
With a focus on writing and performing new music for their next album, the future has never been brighter for Last Bullet. As they continue building on their past success, these boys are looking to accomplish monumental tasks and make 2015 the year that Last Bullet makes an impact that’s felt nation wide. This is a band that has zero interest in taking names, they’re just here to kick your ass with live music and Rock N’ Roll. But don’t take their word for it…
